FRAME 01 · WHAT IT CLEANS

Seven tools in one window, one scan to run them all

Smart Scan checks everything at once. Each module then shows exactly what it found, where it lives, and how sure we are that it's safe to remove.

FRAME 02 · FOR PEOPLE WHO BUILD

Xcode, Gradle and npm leave gigabytes behind

CleanLoupe knows the folders your tools rebuild on their own, and the ones you should think twice about.

  • DerivedData, device support files, unavailable simulators, preview data
  • Gradle, npm, pnpm, Yarn, pub, CocoaPods, Cargo and Go caches
  • node_modules of projects you haven't touched in 90 days
  • Folders written in the last hour are never preselected, so a running build is left alone
Every developer folder CleanLoupe checks →
FRAME 03 · NOTHING DISAPPEARS BY SURPRISE

A cleaner you can undo

Cleaning tools earn trust by being careful. These rules hold for every module.

TRASH FIRST

Put Back from History

Files move to the Trash, never straight to deletion. History lists every cleanup with a Put Back button until you empty the Trash.

SAFE · REVIEW · CAREFUL

Every item is labelled

Only Safe items are selected for you. Review and Careful items explain why, and wait for your decision.

A FIXED LIST

Only folders we vetted

Cleanup never guesses. It looks in a known list of locations and refuses system paths, your Documents and your Desktop.

ON YOUR MAC

Your files never leave your Mac

Scanning and photo analysis run on your Mac. No file or photo is uploaded, and there is no account. Anonymous usage and crash reports can be turned off in Settings.

FRAME 05 · QUESTIONS

Questions people ask

Is CleanLoupe really free?

Yes. Every module is free to use with no limits, no trial and no subscription. There are no ads and no account.

Will it delete something important?

Only items you leave selected are removed, and they go to the Trash so you can put them back. Apple's own apps, system folders, Documents and Desktop are never proposed.

Why does it ask for Full Disk Access?

macOS hides some folders from every app until you allow it: Mail attachments, iPhone backups, the Trash and app containers. CleanLoupe works without it and simply skips those locations.

Why does it ask for my password sometimes?

Removing system caches and running maintenance tasks like flushing DNS need administrator rights. macOS shows its own password prompt; CleanLoupe never sees your password.

Does it work on Intel Macs?

Yes. CleanLoupe runs on Apple silicon and Intel Macs with macOS 15 Sequoia or later.

Is there an iPhone version?

CleanLoupe – Photo Cleaner for iPhone and iPad is in the works. It finds duplicates, look-alike shots and large videos in your photo library, on your device.
